Linxens and the University of Clermont Auvergne join forces to create a joint laboratory

The Laboratory for the Internet of Things Applied to the Environment, whose acronym is IoTAE, is the fruit of collaboration between the Environmental Research Federation (FRE), which involves scientists from the University of Clermont Auvergne (UCA), INRAE and CNRS, and Linxens, a world leader in the design and manufacture of connectivity solutions for smart cards, electronic identity, health and the IoT.

This new laboratory, set up for an initial period of 4 years with funding from the French National Research Agency (ANR), aims to make a scientific contribution to improving Internet of Things (IoT) systems in terms of functionality, miniaturisation, cost reduction and, above all, environmental impact. More specifically, the aim is to create autonomous intelligent communicating objects by limiting energy-intensive data transmission.
